Dear visitors,
Welcome
to the Želeč village website.
Želeč village is
situated in the South Bohemian region (Southern Czech Republic)
and is in the middle of an imaginary triangle with vertexes
created by the towns of Tábor, Soběslav and Bechyně surrounded
by the verdure, forests and ponds. The village’s history reaches
as far as the 14th century when the first references
are noticeable.
A
lot of interest groups and communities are organized in the
village (i.e. sport clubs, fire brigade, huntsmen) who
contribute towards the inhabitants’ and visitors’ social life
(holding social, sporting events, events for children’s and
pensioners’, running the interest groups in the village as well
as many others).
There
is also an elementary school and a nursery school in the
village; religious people are welcome to attend services held in
the local chapel. Post office, library, three grocery stores,
two restaurants, sport facilities (i.e. football pitch, tennis
courts, and a gym) or a beauty salon are among the other
services that are also provided.
Especially
those who love nature will enjoy our village the most. And the
cycling fans will enjoy the fact that the cycling track no.12 (Lom-Dolní
Dvořiště) leads through our village.
We believe that you as well will join the group
of the satisfied visitors of our village.
